ChatGpt, the artificial intelligence software of the moment, will also have a paid version.
It's called ChatGpt Plus and at $20 a month it promises priority access and better responsiveness, even during peak hours.
After several days of free access to the platform, OpenAI which develops the chatbot took the service offline due to too many uses.
For now, the Plus version is only available in the United States, with OpenAI providing gradual invite access starting from the already open waiting list.
In the future, as the foundation itself explains, the subscription may be extended to other markets.
According to a recent analysis carried out by the research company Ubs, and published on the Reuters website, ChatGpt reached 100 million monthly active users in January, just two months after its launch, thus becoming the fastest growing application in history .
UBS analyst Lloyd Walmsley pointed out that it took Instagram two and a half years to reach such an audience.
OpenAi says the premium plan will help keep ChatGpt free for anyone to use.
Additionally, the organization may be looking at subscriptions cheaper than $20/month, as well as business plans and prepaid data packages.
“We launched ChatGpt as a preview so you can learn more about its strengths and weaknesses and collect user feedback,” reads an official blog post.
"Since then, we've had millions of people give us feedback, we've made several updates, and seen how people can derive value from chat in many professional use cases, including writing and editing content, brainstorming ideas, 'help with programming and learning new topics'.
