Niccolò Figà-Talamanca, head of the NGO No Peace Without Justice arrested as part of the Belgian investigation into Qatargate, was released without conditions after almost two months of detention.
"I hope he'll be free as soon as possible, already tonight," Niccolò Figà-Talamanca's lawyer Barbara Huylebroek told ANSA, commenting on the news.
The lawyer specified that he is not currently outside the Brussels prison of Saint-Gilles, where the head of the NGO 'No Peace Without Justice' has been since December 9, but that he expects the procedures to be completed as soon as possible.
Figà-Talamanca's release was decided "by the investigating judge Michael Claise", he confirmed.
