If you thought your day was looking bad, you should take a look at the biography of Ellie McLaren, a 30-year-old Australian actress living in Los Angeles, who scrolled on TikTok one of the most horrifying and strange chain of events that can happen to one person.

The story, which went viral and received more than 1.5 million views on TikTok, begins in October 2021. "I was walking down the street and suddenly a homeless man hit me hard in the face. I broke my jaw and went into surgery."

Busy business, happens, but recover and return to normal after a few weeks.

Well, not in Eli's case.

"My immune system was so weak that I got pneumonia and fainted. From the force of the blow, I suffered a brain injury, and when the doctors looked, they discovered that I had a tumor there."

Okay, Ellie, maybe now the bad luck is over?

far from there

"I had brain surgery to remove the tumor, but they couldn't remove all of it, so I had to start radiation," she says, "before one of the treatments, I was walking on the road to the hospital, a car came and ran me over. It passed despite a stop sign."

The incident left the actress with two broken legs.

In between, she said that she was also stuck in Canada for nine months because of the corona virus.

McLaren said the street attack that started the chain of bad luck made her afraid to walk on the street and her ongoing health problems forced her to quit her job.

She added: "I've really struggled to be honest. I've also had depression and anxiety and it's been hard to walk by people on the street because I don't trust anyone. I don't have nearly as many friends as I used to. I've stopped responding to messages and I've stopped showing up. Most of the time I'm super tired and I just don't have Energy. I used to be super social and now it's just hard for me to leave my house."

Surfers did not remain indifferent, of course.

"Wrap yourself in firecrackers," responded one surfer, and another wrote, "'Grey's Anatomy' should pay you for this story."

Another surfer concluded: "So you're actually saying that the homeless that hit you saved your life."

McLaren shares updates on her condition on her Tiktok and Instagram accounts, and wrote in her bio: "A comedy of errors... Welcome to the life of an Australian paying medical bills in the US."

Despite all the troubles, she remained positive about the future. "I think I'm staying strong because I know it can't be like this forever and I also know that one day I'm going to wake up and it won't hurt anymore," she said. "I believe that everything happens for a reason." And

she believes that her story will inspire others. "I hope that maybe one day I'll write a book about it and continue to use my platform to talk about my chaotic life," said McLaren, noting that what she went through strengthened her. "We don't choose our life and what happens to us," she concluded, "but we do choose how to take what happens to us and turn it around to something beautiful."
