In the mineral atmosphere of the esplanade of La Défense, dominated by its glass giants, between two work zones, one suddenly rushes under the Grande Arche as one enters the metro.
However, once you have entered the doors of the City of History, the immersion begins.
The visitor is welcomed by walls of parchments, as if entering the ancient library of Alexandria.
On the floor, a carpet floor, enamelled with a set of chess symbols that evoke different periods of history, like emoticons from another time: the fleur-de-lys rubs shoulders with the Phrygian cap, the cross of the crusaders that of Lorraine, the Corinthian helmet, the imperial laurels… The journey through time can begin.
