(ANSA) - JUBA, 04 FEB - A "humanitarian tragedy" is taking place in South Sudan.
The Pope said it during his meeting with displaced persons in Juba.
Francis then thanked the Deputy Special Representative of the UN, Sara Beysolow Nyanti: "she and many others have not stood still to study the situation, but they are busy".
"Here, in fact, the largest refugee crisis on the continent persists, with at least four million displaced children of this land, with food insecurity and malnutrition affecting two thirds of the population and with forecasts that speak of a humanitarian tragedy that could get even worse".
