Telling the modernity of a woman who has crossed TV and the history of costume, always remaining contemporary and reinventing herself every time with innovative and highly successful programs:
Rai celebrates the style icon Raffaella Carrà
with an exhibition of her clothes at the Forte of Santa Tecla in San Remo.
The elegant transgression of Raffaella Carrà will in fact be the leitmotiv of the exhibition "A far la moda tu begins!"
which can be visited during the week of the 73rd Italian Song Festival.
A tribute from the Public Service to Carrà through 35 dresses, some supplied by Rai tailors, others from private collectors who have meticulously restored them and which also represent a cross-section of the history of Italian television.
Immersing yourself in the world of Raffaella Carrà is in fact like going back and forth in time.
Telling - through her clothes - the modernity of a woman who has crossed TV and the history of costume, always remaining contemporary and reinventing herself every time with always innovative and highly successful programs.
Convinced that the clothes worn in her shows should reach everyone, combining
glamor and pop
.
An innovation that has also translated into the fabrics worn, light and elastic, suitable for dancing and the unforgettable move of her blond bob.
The exhibition does not only tell the story of the icon Raffaella - a generous and tireless woman, the first TV project manager - but it is an expression of the great costume designers of Italian television such as
Enrico Rufini, Corrado Colabucci, Gabriele Mayer, Graziella Pera and Stefano Riand
who really began with Colabucci his career.
The stylistic collage is a journey that starts from black and white TV and moves on to her favorite and worn colors: white, gold, red, cornflower blue, sequins, black, declined between jackets, evening costumes and overalls from optical to super chic.
The story will be accompanied by images from the Teche Rai, from Carrà as a child in her first appearance, in 1952, in Mario Bonnard's film "Torment of the past", from the iconic images of "Buonasera Raffaella", in 1985, live from New York , to those of Raffaella around the European capitals with the traveling program "Millemilioni" up to iconic programs such as "Canzonissima", "Milleluci" and "Carramba che fortuna".
The Exhibition is organized by the Prime Time Entertainment Department of Rai, in collaboration with the Communication Department, Rai Pubblicità,
