Dominik Fischnaller takes second place in Altenberg and extends to the top of the Luge World Cup standings.
The blue, thanks to a second run in attack, managed to overcome the German Loch, who preceded him at the end of the first descent and thus close behind Max Langenhan.
An important result for the general classification, with Fischnaller who, with four races to go, leads at 605 points, with a 109 points advantage over the German felix Loch;
and now the South Tyrolean champion aims to bring back to Italy the trophy that has been missing since the 2010-2011 season.
For Fischnaller it is the sixth podium in eight rounds of the World Cup.
"I'm really happy that I was able to recover up to second place in the second heat and thus increase my advantage in the overall standings - the blue said -. It's my best season so far, and all this makes me really proud. Now I'm on track for my 10th World Cup victory, I'd like to achieve it in my best season ever."
