(ANSA) - ROME, 06 FEB - The Civil Protection Department announces that the tsunami alert for possible waves on the Italian coasts following the 7.9 earthquake with its epicenter between Turkey and Syria recorded at 02.17 has been revoked.
The revocation was ordered on the basis of the data processed by the Ingv Tsunami Alert Center (CAT).
Rail traffic has resumed regularly in Sicily, Calabria and Puglia, where it had been suspended for precautionary purposes, from 6.30 (ANSA).
