The lawyer for the victim's family assured that the ruling against the defendants is "contradictory."

After the verdict of the judges against the eight rugby players accused of murdering Fernando Báez Sosa on January 18 in Villa Gesell was known,

Fernando Burlando

referred to the sentence: "This is just beginning, weak and contemplative Justice is not Justice".

He said it in dialogue with the press minutes after the Criminal Oral Court 1 of Dolores defined the criminal situation of Máximo Thomsen, Ayrton Viollaz, Enzo Comelli, Blas Cinalli, Matías Benicelli, Luciano, Ciro and Lucas Pertossi.

"The ruling is contradictory,"

said the lawyer representing Silvino and Graciela, the victim's parents who were present at all hearings in the trial that began on January 2.

The expectation of Fernando Burlando before the reading of the verdict

Hours before the sentence, Burlando - who took the case days after it was known - had assured that the participation of all the defendants in the crime of the 18-year-old boy was "proven".

In this sense, both he and the rest of his team made up of Fabián Améndola and his son Facundo entered the Dolores courts with expectation.

"We are going to continue until we achieve the goal. It is important for society that there is a true act of justice, but for the parents Fernando does not return," said Burlando.

Within the framework of the trial, the complaint had requested life imprisonment for the eight rugbiers targeted for beating Báez Sosa to death on January 18, 2020, at the exit of a nightclub in the resort town of Villa Gesell.
