(ANSA) - NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 05 - Jazz singer Samara Joy won the Grammy for best new artist of the year leaving Maneskin dry-mouthed.
The Roman band was among the ten candidates for the award, one of the most prestigious among those awarded by the Recording Academy.
Joy also won another Grammy, for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
With three wins even before the gala began, and two more during the CBS live broadcast for Best R&B Song and Choreography, Beyoncé broke the record for the most Grammys won by an artist: 32, one more than conductor Georg Solti.
Queen B could break the record further tonight, winning another of the three awards she is still in the running for.
