The international community has pledged support in light of the strong earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on Twitter in Turkish that he offered his condolences to the bereaved.

"We are ready to provide the necessary assistance to overcome the consequences of the catastrophe".

The United States is "deeply concerned," tweeted President Joe Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

He informed Turkey that the US was ready to provide "any assistance needed".

Israel wants to provide Turkey with humanitarian aid.

Defense Minister Joav Galant instructed the army and the defense ministry on Monday to make appropriate preparations.

"Our security forces are ready," Galant said.

Israel has experience with emergencies and saving lives.

The Israeli rescue service Zaka announced that they are preparing to send an aid delegation.

This should help with the search in collapsed houses.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen expressed his sincere condolences to Turkey over the severe earthquake and also announced his ministry's help.
