Only a few hours after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake, the south of the country was rocked by a tremor with a magnitude of 7.5.

At least 2,300 people died on Monday in Turkey and neighboring Syria, also affected by this powerful tremor.
This very provisional assessment is expected to increase, with a very large number of people remaining trapped under the rubble.
The snow, which is falling in abundance and the drop in temperatures, expected in the evening and tomorrow, will make the situation of people finding themselves homeless, as well as the work of the relief workers, even more difficult.
