One of the oldest traditions in the Grammy ceremony (and in award ceremonies in general), is to commemorate those who passed away in the year in which the ceremony takes place.
The traditional memorial service was held this year as well, but one particularly prominent name was missing from it, and the fans are furious.
The name of
Aron Carter
, singer and the younger brother of
Nick Carter
from the band "Backstreet Boys", was not mentioned during the traditional memorial ceremony held this year during the Grammy Awards ceremony, and the network did not remain silent.
"Why the hell wasn't Aaron Carter mentioned at the Grammys? That was cruel," one fan tweeted.
"I honestly don't understand why Aaron Carter was left out of the memorial service. He completely changed the young star industry, broke so many records and really paved the way for so many young pop stars to come after him," another commenter added.
"Hey Grammy, go fuck yourself for not including Aaron Carter in the memorial service. It's fucking disrespectful."

The singer, who was only 34 years old when he died, was found dead in the bathtub of his home in California last November.
The official cause of death has not yet been determined, but his family believes he died of a drug overdose.
Carter released his first album in the 1990s, when he was only nine years old.
The album was relatively successful, while the one that followed it sold millions of copies worldwide.
His older brother Nick took Aron under his wing, and he performed with the Backstreet Boys at the height of their fame.
Unfortunately, young Carter's subsequent albums failed, and he became addicted to drugs.
In fact, he fought addiction until his last day, and over the years was diagnosed as dealing with many mental problems, including schizophrenia, acute anxiety, multiple identities and bipolar disorder.
