Borrell, EU helps independent Russian media, I won't say how

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 07 - "We stand by the independent Russian media, civil society and human rights defenders who, despite the continuous repression they suffer, continue to defend human rights and oppose authoritarianism and war".

This was stated by Josep Borrell, speaking at the public conference "Beyond Disinformation: The EU's responses to the threat of manipulation of foreign information".

"And what they say isn't just rhetoric. I can't go into details, but believe me, we support them in practical terms. But I won't tell you how, because it would be doing them a bad favour," Borrell added.
