(ANSA) - NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 07 - Michael Jackson's heirs are close to selling their half of the legendary singer's music catalog in a deal worth 800-900 million dollars: 'Variety' writes it, citing three sources familiar with the negotiations.
The package, which would also include the Broadway show 'MJ: The Musical' and the upcoming biopic 'Michael', would set a record in the still booming music catalog market.
The buyer would be Sony with a financial partner. bought the rights to Bruce Springsteen's music for $600 million and those to BobDylan's recordings for $150-200 million (while the publishing side of the catalog went to Universal Music for nearly $400 million).
