Shakedown Sepang, Ducati sets the best time

To the delight of the test riders, Sepang welcomed the third and final day of the MotoGP Shakedown without rain.

It was Michele Pirro (Ducati) who set the best time (1'59"803), riding above all with the updated aerodynamic package that the world champion manufacturer is testing for 2023. Chapter Yamaha. After testing alone on Sunday and On Monday, Cal Crutchlow had the support of Iwata factory test driver Katsuyuki Nakasuga. Both riders tested the new windshield - the one seen at the Valencia tests - and the last mudguard. Trackside Fabio Quartararo kept an eye on the work of Crutchlow and Nakasuga, perhaps noting the speed of the bike: Crutchlow clocked 335 km/h, five more than Quartararo in last year's GP and eight more than Yamaha in the 2022 Sepang tests.

On the Aprilia Lorenzo Savadori rode with the new aerodynamic package of the front fairing, testing more than one RS-GP.

Savadori was also busy preparing the bikes of Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales in view of the Official Tests which will begin on Friday, also in Sepang.
