A truck was overturned by the wind, agricultural areas were destroyed, entire greenhouses were uprooted and completely destroyed and there is serious damage to the infrastructure: the storm "Barbara" during the night (02/08) visited Moshav Sarufa, from the Hoh Carmel regional council, and made names in it.
According to the secretary general of the moshavim movement and chairman of the Israel Agricultural Federation, Amit Yafarah, "This is a major natural disaster, in which the storm wreaked havoc on the moshav. Many greenhouses and agricultural farms were completely destroyed and the livelihood of farmers in the area was severely damaged."

Furthermore, says Yafarah, "I appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture and the CEO of Kent Agricultural Insurance Company to compensate the farmers for the heavy damages to the agricultural areas, infrastructure and the large amount of property that was damaged.
I call on the government to deal with it immediately, which will enable the restoration of the farms for the next season and the guarantee of the farmers' livelihood."
The council's teams arrived during the day (Wednesday), and together with the leadership of the settlement and the residents, are constantly engaged in mapping the damages, removing hazards, providing treatment and assistance to those who need it , an appeal to the relevant government agencies - for the purpose of promoting the treatment of the restoration of the damages and providing compensation to the farmers for the heavy damages caused in the settlement.
