(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 08 FEB - A Polish-Belarusian journalist, Andrzej Poczobut, has been sentenced to eight years' imprisonment in Belarus.
This was announced by the Belarusian human rights NGO Viasna.
The journalist has been in prison since March 2021, when he was arrested for supporting protests against President Alexander Lukashenko.
Poczobut was accused of having "incited actions aimed at threatening national security" and of having "incited racial, national and religious hatred".
