The victim, who lost teeth, was surrounded by about a dozen assailants who hit him fiercely on the head, even when he was already on the ground. They identified four attackers.

Leandro Chávez, 31, was

attacked by a group of rugby players

at the

Corrientes corsódromo

and assured that, if he had not been helped by the three friends he was with, "it could have ended worse."

The balance was not little;

The victim

lost teeth and was kicked in the head while on the ground

, as seen in the images that went viral this Tuesday of the event that happened at dawn on Sunday, January 29.

The video was released after the sentence was read for the eight defendants for the murder of Fernando Báez Sosa in Villa Gesell - court in Dolores, province of Buenos Aires, just over 1,100 kilometers away from Corrientes.

The new attack by the rugby gang took place after the

second day of the provincial carnival

.

Already at dawn, "about 6 or 7 in the morning," Chávez recounted, the attackers approached him and

began to beat him without dialogue through

.

As can be seen in the viralized video, which lasts just

42 seconds

, a group of almost a dozen young people surrounds the victim and begins the beating.

Four of them have been identified

, according to the local newspaper El Litoral.

The scene of the attack occurred in an area of the Nolo Alias property that has not yet been accurately determined by the authorities.

Rubén Leiva, Leandro's lawyer, explained that the

security cameras of

the property where the attack occurred are from the province of Corrientes.

"We are going to ask for the

images to identify

and determine the area of the aggression," he explained.

"We had a good time, we didn't have any problems with anyone that night," Chávez said when describing what happened a little over ten days ago.

And he added, in statements to Radio Sudamericana: “Everything happened between 6 and 7 in the morning, when at the end of the carnival I see that

a guy approaches me and hits me

.

There, those who were with him began to hit me, who

later I found out were rugby players

”.

"I saw that one of the boys hit me and others began to hit me too. If my friends hadn't been there, it could have ended worse," the story continued.

In addition, he explained that the part of his body that he tried to protect the most was

his head , since that is where, he affirms,

most of the blows

were aimed

.

Another attack by a group of rugby players against a victim, this time, at the exit of the Corrientes carnival

In fact, in the video, one of the attackers who is not "in the frame" for a large part of the images, suddenly stops and gives him

a violent right hand to the face, which makes Chávez fall again, barely upright

in the earth raising arms.

The fact generated the opening of a case, in which the witnesses are being registered and verified, including security personnel of the traditional Corrientes event.

Meanwhile, Chávez continues to undergo studies during his recovery process after the injuries suffered and the

loss of several teeth
