ChatGPT is on everyone's lips. The software programmed on artificial intelligence does not use a database, but often invents something. The same with books.

The same with books.

The web is full of artificially generated texts.

ChatGPT is currently one of the best-known applications that allow the bot to generate texts on any imaginable topic.

Whether homework for school or how about your own book?

But before that, let's use it for a little research and see which celebrities have already written which books.

How about some autobiographies?

A few days ago ,

spiegel.de

was looking for autobiographies by the former boss of Daimler AG, Dieter Zetsche.

The book “I.

Dieter Z. – A Life for Automobile Construction”.

Doesn't sound like the right title.

Yes, the book does not exist.

Markus Braun, former CEO of Wirecard, is also said to have written an autobiography entitled "My way into the world of finance".

Well, probably less.

According to a recently published press release, the company behind ChatGPT, Open AI, is constantly striving to open up additional text sources and make updates to the program.

The basis for his answers is a large part of the texts published on the Internet that appeared up to 2021.

After all, that amounts to a text volume of over 200 billion words, according to

spiegel.de

.

A recent question about five footballer autobiographies returned the following answers:

  • "I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic" by Zlatan Ibrahimovic

  • My Story by Cristiano Ronaldo

  • Born to Rise: My Story by Marcus Rashford

  • My Turn: The Autobiography by Xabi Alonso

  • How Not to Be a Football Millionaire by Darren Bent

A quick search to see if Cristiano Ronaldo really wrote "My Story" didn't find anything.

"Cristiano Ronaldo - The Football God" would have been more correct, even if this is not an autobiography, but the book by Markus Alexander.

The book "Born to Rise: My Story" by Marcus Rashford, striker at Manchester United, cannot be found either.

But it can still come.

Who knows.

Thus, these suggestions serve well as a title generator.

After all, the title of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's book is quite close to the original.

However, it has been published in Swedish and is translated as "I am Zlatan".

Ghostwriter is David Lagercrantz, who continued Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy after his death.

My Turn: The Autobiography got me a little suspicious.

The title exists, but from Johan Cruyff, a former Dutch soccer player.

However, if you ask ChatGPT what the name of David Beckham's autobiography is, the correct answer is "My Side" (promotional link).

Anyway.

Crime stories from Munich and ChatGPT

Even with a current question about crime thrillers that should play in Munich, ChatGPT sends book recommendations that do not exist.

Not.

If you skim the list, it may look good at first glance, after all, "Münchner" appears in a book title.

The hairs on the back of the neck stand up at the latest when the supposed crime thriller “The Legacy of the Johannitermorde” is written, which according to ChatGPT Sebastian Fitzek is said to have written.

Two online booksellers and the author's website were called up quickly.

There is no trace of the book, whose supposed creator anyway tends to write book titles with very short and memorable titles, such as "The Package" or "Mimik".t

In the end we see that researching celebrity biographies with ChatGPT is not that far away.

Better to rummage around on 24books.de for recommendations.

The books there are definitely there.
