Turkey-Syria earthquake, the death toll exceeds 11,200

(ANSA) - ISTANBUL, FEBRUARY 08 - The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria exceeds 11,200.

This was announced by official sources.

    Officials and doctors said 8,574 people died in Turkey and 2,662 in Syria bringing the total to 11,236.

Nearly 50,000 people were injured in Turkey and another 5,000 in Syria, officials and rescuers from both sides said.
