Several schools in Cologne have to be evacuated because of a bomb disposal.
The city announced that the dud in the Lindenthal district should be defuse on Thursday.
The English five hundredweight bomb from the Second World War was discovered in the morning.
For the duration of the defusing, all residents within a radius of 400 meters will have to leave their homes.
About 5000 people are affected.
In addition to schools, there are also several university facilities in the area.
A total of four schools had to be evacuated for the defusing.
According to “Express”, a reception center was set up for the pupils of the affected schools.
By the end of the care period, teachers will ensure that those students whose parents could not be reached are not released to go home alone.
