The US musician Burt Bacharach was considered a master songwriter.
Few have written such a large number of internationally renowned hits, such as "Do You Know the Way to San Jose", "Walk On By", "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" or "Trains and Boats and Planes".
Bacharach died at the age of 94 – and the music business is mourning.

tweeted a tribute to Bacharach: "Burt was one of my heroes and was a huge influence on my work.
He was a giant of the music business.«

Shaun Cassidy
wrote on Twitter that Bacharach's songs shaped his childhood and were "the soundtrack of every cool cocktail party".
Kiss co-founder Paul Stanley
pointed to Bacharach's legacy of "great songs."
His works shared an effortless "combination of simplicity and sophistication."
The film industry also mourns Bacharach.
The songwriter received two Oscars for the song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head" from the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

And Alexander also recalled the legacy of the deceased: Bacharach left a "treasure of songs" that "we should cherish".
Screenwriter and producer
Larry Karaszewski
shared a video on Twitter of Bacharach and Dionne Warwick successfully collaborating with Bacharach in a trio with fellow lyricist Hal David.
Karaszewski wrote: "We lost a giant today."
