North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the Armed Forces General Staff with his teenage daughter Kim Ju-ae and wife Ri Sol-ju to celebrate 75 years since the founding of the Korean People's Army (KPA).
In a speech at a banquet held Tuesday in his honor, Kim, as commander-in-chief, praised and defined the KPA as "the strongest troops in the world", reported the official KCNA news agency, without specifying whether it was held or not the military parade in Kim Il-sung square whose preparations have been reported for several weeks on the basis of an examination of satellite images.
The Rodong Sinmun, the voice of the Workers' Party, also published a series of photos related to the event which marked, together with the supervision of the session of the Central Military Commission, the leader's return to public events after an absence of more than a month.
Kim, however, did not express - in the media report - he does not appear to have expressed any assessments on the current tense relations with South Korea and the United States.
Kim introduced her daughter Ju-ae to the world in November 2022, on the occasion of participating in the test launch of a Hwasong-17 ICBM, the so-called 'monstrous missile'.
