February is the month of anemones, especially in the north of the Negev, where the "Drom Adom" festival is celebrated for the 18th year.
So where can you see anemones without standing in traffic jams or all kinds of travelers getting into your frame?
We asked the team of instructors of the Sedeh Sycamore School of the Society for the Protection of Nature, to receive a flourishing and lesser-known recommendation.
So get to know Givat Or Hanar, which is located in close proximity to Kibbutz Or Hanar and the Nahal Shakma river channel and is so unknown and secret that it is not even mentioned in a Google search.
During the winter days and especially at the beginning of February, it is covered with carpets of red anemones, and unlike the crowds of travelers in the familiar locations of the anemone blossoms, it is very likely that you will find yourself here alone.

You don't have to gather with everyone in South Adom.

"A hidden pearl of nature that blooms in many colors"
Mirit Mellal-Kashels, director of the Sycamore Field School of the Society for the Protection of Nature, says that this is a hidden gem of nature that blooms in a multitude of colors.
"Here we will find the large town among the remains of a village from the Ottoman period. Among the green hills we can see the carpets of anemones in their peak bloom. I recommend wandering in the open area and enjoying the wonderful, impressive view that exists throughout the Western Negev. Not far from there you can also reach the flowing Sycamore River channel These days and the winter pool is currently full, she says.
