Canadian James Crawford won the gold medal in the Super-G at the World Championships in Courchevel-Meribel, France, where the Azzurri didn't shine.

The silver went to the Norwegian Aleksander Kilde (1.07.23), who for just one cent saw himself snatched away the victory by an athlete who had never achieved success in his career.

Bronze to the Frenchman Alexis Pinturault (1.07.48), already gold medal in combined on home snow.

The Swiss Marco Odermatt (1.07.59), who dominated the specialty in the world cup and was predicted as an almost certain winner of the world championship, was fourth and left off the podium.

The Azzurri were bad overall: Dominik Paris crashed after just over thirty seconds of the race and the best was Mattia Casse, 13/o and more than a second behind Crawford.

Further back Christof Innerhofer, 20/o and Guglielmo Bosca, 26/o.
