(ANSA) - ADIYAMAN, FEBRUARY 10 - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan admitted that Turkey's earthquake relief efforts "are not progressing as fast as hoped".
"Some ignorant people are robbing the markets and attacking the workplaces. The necessary sanctions will be applied to those who commit these abuses under the state of emergency as soon as they are discovered", added Erdogan, speaking from the tent city set up at the stadium of the University of AdÕyaman in the south of the country.
As reported by the Turkish newspaper Anadolu, Erdogan added that the "priority has always been people and souls", for this reason "we will not allow abuses": "Our sincerity on this issue cannot be doubted by anyone"
