When Ekart finally had to go to prison for six and a half years for assault, severe extortion and receiving stolen goods, our reporter Claas Meyer-Heuer paid him a visit in the prison.
"I'd love to ram the pen down your throat," was how the rocker boss greeted him at the time.
Today the two sit across from each other and Ekart says: "I had a pretty short fuse back then." In the first episode of our true crime series "Under Interrogation: Ex-Rocker Boss Janez Ekart", the former rocker president talks about his for the first time difficult youth, the time as a bouncer and his promotion to the Bandidos.
Janez Ekart has written a book about his life, Hated by Most, Loved by Few.
