An older, undressed man and a younger, dressed woman lie on a hotel bed and kiss.

The elderly gentleman is Michel Houellebecq, 66, France's most provocative and arguably best-known living writer.

The younger woman is Jini van Rooijen, a fan of the author.

The scene is part of a trailer for a documentary by Dutch film collective Kirac (Keeping It Real Art Critics), which was made with Houellebecq's permission.

But now the author is distancing himself from the project.

Houellebecq's lawyers have announced that they will take action against the film, simply titled "KIRAC 27", and the accompanying trailer.

This is reported, among other things, by the French television station France24.

Houellebecq and his wife Lysis saw the trailer "shocked and disgusted": The film contained "serious false allegations".

In the trailer, which is 1.45 minutes long, director Stefan Ruitenbeek reports from the off how the project came about.

Accordingly, Houellebecq and his wife had actually planned a vacation in Morocco.

Allegedly, prostitutes with whom Houellebecq was supposed to have sex had already been contacted from France.

But then they canceled for fear of being kidnapped by Islamist extremists.

Ruitenbeek, he says in the trailer, was in contact with Houellebecq at the time and tried to cheer him up by telling him there were enough women in Amsterdam who would sleep with him out of curiosity.

This is how the pornographically charged film project came about.

In an interview with the French edition of »Vice« magazine, director Ruitenbeek already described in detail the plot of the film, which was shot in Amsterdam and Paris in six days.

Accordingly, Houellebecq had sex with four women.

Ruitenbeek: "He's very good in bed." After the sex acts there were also philosophical discussions.

The film is scheduled to be released on March 11th.
