Unipol closed the 2022 financial year with a net profit of €866m, up 8.8% compared to the €796m of 2021, and with premium income rising by 2.4% to €13.6bn.
Net of the extraordinary components, which include the costs for the solidarity fund for the early retirement of around 900 employees in 2022, the normalized profit jumps by 55%, from 514 to 797 million, reads a note.
The results, "in line with the objectives of the 2022-2024 strategic plan", allow the board to propose a dividend of 0.37 euros per share.

The board of directors, reads a note, has proposed the payment of a coupon of 0.16 euros for each share, compared to 0.19 euros in 2021, for a total amount of approximately 453 million euros, "in line with the forecasts of the strategic plan".
Funding grew by 2.4% to 13.6 billion euro.
