The delegation of the Moscow State Educational University and the Christian World Union expressed their condolences and sympathy for the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria last Monday, stressing readiness to support the Syrian educational sector in this ordeal.
During today's meeting, the delegation discussed with the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, the mechanism of cooperation in the field of developing the skills of students and teachers in the Russian language, and preparing for a virtual forum during the coming week, during which 47 teachers from various Syrian governorates will be awarded diplomas in the Russian language, after passing the related tests.
The two sides discussed the stages of authoring books for the Russian language curriculum, which is carried out through a joint Syrian and Russian committee, where the seventh grade book has been completed, and preparations are underway to write the eighth grade curriculum, in addition to studying the possibility of opening an institute for preparing teachers of the Russian language that develops the skills of teachers and increases their experience.
Minister Tabaa emphasized the strong relations between Syria and Russia, especially in the educational field, expressing his appreciation for the noble sentiments of the delegation.
The first supervisor of the Russian language course and its coordinator at the Ministry of Education, Bassam Al-Taweel, attended the meeting.
