Second malfunction in six months in IVF units in Assuta Israel today

Assuta reported to the Ministry of Health over the weekend about an unusual malfunction in the IVF unit in Ramat Hay'al.


During the control, a malfunction was discovered in the preparation of the solutions in one of the stages of the initial treatment of one couple's fertilized eggs, as a result, the fertilized eggs did not develop and the patient will need another cycle of treatment.

When the incident became known, the patient and her partner knew about the malfunction with full transparency, they met with the manager of the unit where they were offered another round of treatments and continued accompaniment and assistance in every way, in the continuation of the IVF process.

The fault will be investigated and lessons will be learned.

This is the second malfunction in the past six months in the in vitro fertilization units in Assuta, this after the "fertilization failure in Assuta", when a genetic test performed on a pregnant woman who underwent an embryo retrieval process revealed that she was carrying an embryo that did not match hers.
