Flowers in the vase should not only be an ornament, but should bloom for as long as possible.
In this picture gallery you will find varieties that naturally remain beautiful for a long time.
The most beautiful flowers are not worth much if they droop after two days.
There are cut flowers that stay in the vase for three to four weeks - provided they are harvested at the right time.
When picking or buying, you should make sure that at least some specimens still have buds or flowers that are only a third open.
A clean vase and flower preservative also extend the shelf life of the cut flowers.
You should also change the water every few days and remove rotten leaves immediately.
Light-protected vases, such as porcelain or ceramic, are a better choice than glass vases.
