After finding the body of a missing 42-year-old woman in Rendsburg, the police arrested a suspect.
The police in Rendsburg and the public prosecutor's office in Kiel announced on Sunday that it was a 60-year-old family member of the dead.
The man was to be brought before the magistrate later that day.
Missing for ten days
Out of consideration for the family, the police initially did not want to disclose the relationship between the two.

The mother had taken her children to school and had since disappeared.
Walkers discovered her body on Saturday in the Feldmark near Klein Bennebek in Schleswig-Holstein.
According to the police, the woman may have died violently, but an autopsy result on the exact cause of death is still pending.
Until Sunday night, officers from the homicide and forensics departments secured traces at the site where the body was found, and various police units and forces from the Börm volunteer fire brigade were also on duty.
