Luca Marini and Francesco Bagnaia closed the third and final day of the MotoGP tests on the Sepang circuit with the best times, conditioned by the rain in the finale.
The Ducati of Marini's Mooney VR46 team stopped the clock at 1'57"889, the official one of the world champion accused a delay of just 80 thousandths. Maverick Vinales third with the Aprilia at 147 thousandths. It was a the day was dominated by the Italian brands, which placed nine bikes in the first 10 places: in the top ten only Marc Marquez's Honda, tenth. Nineteenth place for Fabio Quartararo with the Yamaha, 1"054 behind Marini.
