"Third Person" presents the difficult and shaky way of parenting, and it's excellent Israel today

In a country like ours that sanctifies childbirth, they don't like to talk about the mental and physical difficulties that many couples face.

The Israeli banality planted in every interview conducted by Yehuda Levy in recent days to promote the series starring him "Third Body", the same prying question that you are also curious to hear - is the teenage actor still interested in children?

Because our society puts so much pressure on having children, that it is even asked to ask celebrities questions about relationships and pregnancies, as if the entertainment reporters are actually the grandmothers of all of us at a family meal.

"We wish it would happen soon", Niv Raskin concluded the interview with Levy on the morning show, and we all crossed our fingers behind our backs.

• The most surprising casting: who will play alongside Rotem Sela in the series by Assi Ezer?

They say children are joy, and our offspring are our whole world.

But on TV it is complex.

If you check, you will find that in television dramas children's characters are always secondary, and usually exist only to reflect through them the traumas of adults and nothing else.

The series "Third Body", which was launched this evening (Monday) on Bequest 12, does not show the fun of parenthood, but describes the upheaval experienced by couples on the way there.

At the center of the plot was a couple (Yehuda Levy and Rotem Sela) who are having trouble having children, and after going through all the treatments and injecting all the injections - a surrogacy procedure begins.

The third person also describes the relationships that develop during the process - between Levy's character and the surrogate mother (Gal Malka) and Sela's character with a movie star (Lior Raz) who edits a book he wrote.

Also, the story actually has two child characters as well.

The surrogate's son, who is not really significant to the plot, and the fetus in her womb that is expected to be passed on to the couple after birth, and in the meantime his role is to unite the characters and advance the plot and conflicts.

The intense drama series depicts how far people will go for a child, or to deal with financial hardship.

"Third Person" touches on sensitive points, which are not usually revealed in public, and presents a different reality (and also uses a great soundtrack saturated with Israeli music).

In a country that so sanctifies childbirth, it is good that a drama like "Third Body" was born, which challenges the norm and allows a glimpse of couples whose whole dream is to be like everyone else and become parents.
