Alfredo Cospito takes supplements again

   Alfredo Cospito, who was transferred from the Opera clinical center to the prison medicine department of San Paolo two days ago, has resumed taking supplements this morning.

According to what has been learned from judicial and penitentiary circles, the decision of the FAI exponent, who had reached the 117th day of his hunger strike, was taken in order to be able to arrive lucid at the February 24 hearing in the Cassation and after the opinion with which the pg asked for the revocation of 41 bis, the regime in which he finds himself and against which he is protesting.

After the decision of the Supreme Court, Cospito will decide how and whether to continue his protest.

Meanwhile, a few days after the Cassation's decision on the revocation of the 41-bis against Cospito, the national anti-mafia prosecutor, Giovanni Melillo, made public the opinion sent on February 2 to the Minister of Justice Nordio in which he opens up to the possibility of transferring the anarchist in High Security.

He asks the "political authority" to evaluate the "possible suitability of the regime's own measures referring to the so-called High Security circuit and of the further appropriate forms of control proper to the penitentiary system and investigative activity to contain the undoubted charge of social danger of the prisoner".
