Today, the Ministry of Education received 60 million Syrian pounds, provided by a number of schools, in addition to some in-kind materials, as part of a donation campaign carried out by students of Damascus public and private schools in support of the earthquake victims.
The sums provided included 50 million Syrian pounds from the Mohseniya School, and 7 million and 460 thousand Syrian pounds from the Al-Basil School for Outstanding Students and some in-kind materials such as clothes, blankets, medicines and foodstuffs, and two million and 540 thousand Syrian pounds from Nazir Nabaa School for Outstanding Students, in addition to in-kind donations that also included clothes, blankets and foodstuffs. .
The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabaa, stressed the importance of concerted community efforts, voluntary initiatives, and donations made by students and school administrations in solidarity with those affected by the earthquake, which express their national and human sense.
