(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, FEBRUARY 13 - "We are here only to pay taxes and send our children into the army. We will not shut ourselves up in our homes when they try to turn Israel into an obscure dictatorship and force us to remain silent".
This was stated by Yair Lapid, leader of the opposition to Benyamin Netanyahu's government, speaking at the ongoing protest in Jerusalem.
"They pretend not to hear, they pretend they don't care but - he added referring to the government - they listen and are afraid. According to media first estimates, around 60,000 people were present at the demonstration. (ANSA).
