Gali Atari and Yitzhak Klifter met in the 1980s, and together they signed some of the biggest hits of Israeli music.

Gali Atari is releasing today (Tuesday) the song "When the heart is free" composed by the legendary Yitzhak Kleftar, the first song after his passing about two months ago.

The song incorporates the recording of the original sketch, when the two sang the song together for the first time at Clifter's house - even before the text.

• Clifter in an interview a week before his death: "I'm afraid of death"

• From the collaboration with Eric Einstein to the great hit of Beehive: the great works of Yitzhak Kleftar

The first meeting of Gali Atari and Yitzhak Kleftar started somewhere in the eighties, and gave birth to some of the most beautiful songs in Israeli music - "End of the season", "Only yesterday", "What you love" and others.

"After Yitzhak Klefter's passing, I felt that his last word had not yet been spoken, as far as I was concerned. I am honored to release the new song he composed to the words of Meir Goldberg," said Atari.

According to her, "I was privileged to connect with Yitzhak Clifter in this song in other ways as well. On his original guitar, the guitar solo is played in the image and inspiration of Yitzhak, which corresponds with his rare and unforgettable solos. I was also privileged to 'host' him in the song. There is an authentic piece of his singing and mine together that was recorded while I was listening him for the first time at his home. Thinking of you, singing you, thank you Yitzchak."
