Actress Sharon Stone has opened up about the death of her younger brother Joseph in an emotional video.
With tears she describes the grief of the family, who had recently suffered a heavy loss.
"I hereby confirm that we have lost my brother, Patrick Joseph Stone, to a heart attack," says the 64-year-old.
He passed away on Sunday.
US media reports, citing forensic medicine, that Joseph Stone suffered from heart disease.
Joseph lived to be 57 and was the father of two children: daughter Kaylee and son Hunter.
Stone and his wife Tasha's third child, son River, died a year and a half ago of organ failure at just 11 months old.
A few weeks after River's death, the family announced that the boy's organs had been donated, saving three lives.
This knowledge didn't help the family get over the tragic loss, but it was a small consolation during this difficult time, Sharon Stone said at the time.
Knowing about organ donation "saved" her and her family, Stone said.
In the video about Brother Joseph's death, Stone now speaks of a "time of immeasurable sadness" and thanks for the numerous expressions of condolence.
She also shared a photo showing her arm in arm with her brother.
Tasha Stone, the deceased's widow, is said to have commented on her husband's death on her husband's non-public social channels, according to People magazine.
"My heart feels like it's been ripped out of my chest," she is quoted as saying.
'Patrick went to our sweet river at 3:30 in the morning.
I don't know what else to say, he was my world.« He was her soul mate.
Of course she would continue, but she didn't know exactly how that was supposed to work.
