Rust, the ill-fated western starring Alec Baldwin at the center of a court case over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on set, will resume shooting in the spring with a mix of new and old crew members.
The Hollywood Reporter learned it.
And Baldwin is currently on board.
Plans are to finish the film, reports the Entertainment Journal, despite the lawsuit that sees Baldwin and crew armourer Hanna Gutierrez Reed charged with manslaughter in Hutchins' death and multiple lawsuits filed by crew members against production.
Filming had been suspended in October 2021, when a bullet from a gun in Baldwin's hand hit director Joel Souza and subsequently fatally wounded the director of cinematography.
Bianca Bline (Marcel the Shell With Shoes On) will take over from Hutchins.
In the meantime, filming will also begin on a documentary on Halyna, directed by director Rachel Mason, and with the full support of the woman's widower, Matthew Hutchins, who will be
