(ANSA) - TOKYO, FEBRUARY 14 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts the session higher, following the recovery of the stock market on Wall Street and awaiting the latest indications on US inflation.
At the opening the Nikkei advanced by 1% to 27,700.28, marking an increase of 273 points.
On the foreign exchange market, the presentation of the official appointment of the new candidate to lead the Central Bank of Japan (Boj), Kazuo Ueda, and the expectations of a change in the institution's ultra-expansive monetary policy set-up caused the yen to lose ground against the dollar, to 132 .20, and on the euro, at a level just below a level of 142.
