"Please don't eat my friends": this is the name (with a message for the animal cause) given by Hillary Taymour, artistic director of the Collina Strada brand at her fall-winter 2023 show -2024.
On February 10, as part of New York Fashion Week, 421 Broadway Street was transformed into a kind of human pet shop.
To illustrate the words of the designer who is particularly sensitive to the environmental cause, the models paraded adorned with donkey ears, reptile heads or pigs' snouts.
Each imitating the animal he embodied.

political animal
Under the astonished and amused eyes of the guests, a model made up as a dog and "WOOF" embroidered on the t-shirt threw himself on all fours on the podium, before sniffing the feet of the spectators.
Another galloped across the room, haystack in hand, horse muzzle in face.
A last one, on which a hen's crest was enthroned, was shaking its arms, imitating the beating of wings.
The unexpected show had a definite echo on social networks, picked up by many fashion commentators like Luke Meagher from the Hautelemode account (250,000 subscribers on Instagram).
This isn't the first time Hillary Taymour has used the parade to get messages across.
Already in 2019, the artistic director organized her spring-summer 2020 fashion show in the setting of an agricultural market, in order to denounce the evils of food overconsumption.
With this new staging, Collina Strada proves that she has indeed found her paw.
