Mercedes has unveiled the car for the 2023 season. It is the W14 - in a completely black livery - shown during a special presentation live from Silverstone.
Just like Ferrari, which presented the SF-23 yesterday, Mercedes is betting on this single-seater to win the Grands Prix and return to fight for the title after two seasons dominated by Red Bull.
Mercedes' latest creation marks a return to black, a color it had previously used in 2020 and 2021, after using the more traditional silver in 2022.
Team principal Toto Wolff, drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell and new reserve Mick Schumacher were all in attendance at the ceremony.
"Our hopes and expectations are always to be able to fight for a world championship. Our competitors were very strong last year, but we are catching up - said Wolff - Running up front requires resilience, teamwork and determination. We will leave no stone unturned in the pursuit for every millisecond. We will do everything to get back to the front."
