The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in coordination with the National Union of Syrian Students, announced the resumption of working hours in public and private universities and institutes in the governorates (Damascus, its countryside, Daraa, As-Suwayda, Quneitra, Homs, Deir ez-Zor and Al-Hasakah), starting from next Sunday, February 19, and entrusting universities and institutes to develop examination programs and organize the process permanence.
In a statement that SANA received a copy of, the Ministry decided to extend the suspension of student attendance, and to postpone exams in public and private universities and institutes in the governorates (Aleppo, Lattakia, Hama, and Tartous) until next Thursday, the 23rd of this February, provided that attendance and examinations will resume starting from Saturday the 25th of February. This February, universities and institutes are tasked with developing examination programs and organizing the working hours.
