Some loaded the merchandise into their trucks and cars, while others loaded the half carcasses on their backs and left on foot.

The accident occurred during the early hours of this Wednesday on Route 9 at kilometer 1,543, near Cabeza de Buey.

It was in that place where a Scania truck, which came from Santiago del Estero and was

carrying more than 23,000 kilos of meat

(11,000 on the chassis and 12,000 on the trailer), lost while taking a curve, went down to the shoulder and overturned.

Sebastián Paz, the driver who was going to Jujuy, explained that the cabin where he was driving separated from the trailer, went to the opposite lane and collided with a Fiat Siena that was coming in the opposite direction.

A couple and their baby were traveling in that car: all three were

taken to the hospital

although they did not suffer serious injuries.

All the cargo that was on the chassis (11 thousand kilos between offal and half beef), were scattered throughout the route.

Little by little, people began to arrive at the place to take their loot.

In less than an hour, there was nothing left

.

“There were people in trucks carrying two half-rescues and

people running with the half-rescue hanging around their necks

.

The piranha-type looting they did was impressive and they took everything, down to the last offal, nothing was left," a witness told

Gendarmerie personnel did not prevent people from taking the meat, since the trucker allowed it.

However, they did refuse to let them steal the meat that was in the trailer, because it was still packed and in good condition.

A truck with 50 cows overturned in Santa Fe and they were all slaughtered

A

shocking scene occurred

at the end of July 2022 in the province of

Santa Fe

, where a truck carrying

50 cows

overturned on the shoulder of Route 11 and a group of people from the area jumped on the animals to slaughter them: in question of minutes,

they did not leave any alive.

The strong impact caused both

the driver and the passenger to suffer

serious injuries and should be transferred to a nearby hospital for assistance.

But among the consequences, it also caused the cattle they were carrying in the trailer to fall off.

According to local media, the news about the road accident did not take long to reach the nearby towns, from where they quickly moved together to the scene with one objective: to slaughter the cows that had been left in the field, some dying

;

others not.

It was about 50 animals that, for the most part,

were dead or seriously injured

from the strong fall they had suffered.

In this sense, while the truck removal tasks were being carried out, more than a dozen people equipped with

important knives

began to butcher the cattle.

None of the transferred cows survived.
