On May 1, the National Geographic Channel and the Disney Plus service will launch the historical drama miniseries "A Small Light", which will unfold the story of the Jewish girl who perished in the Holocaust - and all this from a slightly different direction.

The English actress Belle Fowley ("The Morning Show", "The Informant") will play the main role of Hiss in the series, which was filmed last year in Amsterdam and Prague;
Liev Schreiber ("Ray Donovan") will play Otto Frank (Mip's employer who asked her to protect his family - and the only member of the family who survived the Holocaust);
Amira Kasar ("Dangerous Contract", "Call Me by Your Name") will be Edith Frank - Anna's mother.

Joe Cole ("Gangs of Birmingham", "Gangs of London") will play Jan Hiss - Mip's husband;
The German actor-director of Jewish origin (and Hebrew speaker) Daniel Donskoy ("The Crown", "Barbarians") will step into the shoes of the Nazi intelligence officer Karl Zilberbauer - who commanded the operation to arrest the Frank family;
And the 17-year-old British actress Billie Bolt will play Anna herself.

The series, which was produced in collaboration with Keshet Studios, will actually focus on the Dutch citizen and follower of the nations of the world Mip Hyss, who helped hide Anna and her family from the Nazis in Amsterdam.
Meep is actually the one who found Anna's diary and manuscripts after she was captured, and gave them to her father, Otto Frank, who published them.
