One-on-one time between parents and children is essential and critical to the relationship.

This essential quality time is a real force, which improves the relationship significantly, increases the self-confidence of both parties and helps in overcoming various challenges.

On the occasion of Family Day, and following the success from previous years, Tnuva launched a new content site under the theme "one-on-one time has a special power".

On the new website you can find a series of enriching lectures, articles and tips on the subject and a variety of tools and content from the best parenting consultants.

The new content complex caters to parents of toddlers, children and teenagers, with different approaches and perspectives.

Why do you even need 1 on 1 time?

One of the lectures that can be found in the new complex touches on one of the most important topics for all of us - why do we need 1-on-1 time and what does it affect?

In the lecture, Prof. Yoram Yuval brings studies that show how significant parent-child quality time is for the children as well as for the parents.

Beyond a sense of security and belonging which is critical for children, 1-on-1 time can also improve reading scores at young ages.

Another lecture that appeared on the website concerns the biggest enemy of 1-on-1 time. It is very easy to think that our children's screen time does not allow them to really connect with us and be with us in quality parent-child time.

However, Yael Man Shahar, a researcher in the field of the psychology of technology, talks in the lecture about a different approach: how to connect with our digital children precisely through the screen, stop being afraid of the screens and start creating 1 on 1 time with our children through them.

And what about parents who don't have time?

Can they still give quality time to their children?

In another lecture, Yael Toker, parent facilitator of the Adler approach, explains that although we have been privileged to be parents in the most intense period in history, there are small moments throughout the day in which we can combine special attention to our children, even without setting aside a special window of time for it.
