The Justice
revoked this Wednesday the house arrest that Marcos Lautaro Teruel had
, son of one of the founders of the folkloric group Los Nocheros, who is convicted of aggravated sexual abuse.
In this way, Teruel must return to jail to serve his 12-year prison sentence.
The decision of the Justice of Salta came after the Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF) of that province appealed last week the domiciliary.
It was an appeal against the habeas corpus action by which the Court of Guarantees 1 granted house arrest to Teruel, on January 30, 2023.
In the document, they warned that "without ceasing to consider that health constitutes a fundamental good for the inmate, without which prison treatment would be meaningless, it is observed that the prison authorities provide adequate care."
In addition, the representative of the Public Prosecutor's Office considered that "the expressions expressed by the plaintiff alluding to health issues have been refuted with the reports of the penitentiary authority, health professionals and even by the inspection carried out in the facilities where the prisoner was housed." internal Teruel, by the intervening Execution judge".
Teruel, who is the son of Los Nocheros musician Mario Teruel,
was sentenced on October 18, 2021
by a Salta court to 12 years in prison for the crime of aggravated sexual abuse to the detriment of two victims, while two co-defendants in the case, Silvio Ezequiel Rodríguez and Gonzalo Isaac Farfán, were acquitted for the benefit of the doubt.
The convicted person was considered "the material author and criminally responsible for the crimes of seriously outrageous sexual abuse due to the circumstances of its execution, reiterated, in a real contest for four facts, in an ideal contest with corruption of minors aggravated by being a minor under 13 years of age. and for mediating deceit, in real contest with sexual abuse with carnal access", for the two accumulated causes for which he came to trial.
House arrest was granted after the presentation of his defense, due to a health problem caused by an infection in one of his toes that even kept him hospitalized for a few weeks in a private medical center.
The measure, which prompted the intervention of the House Arrest Unit and which is executed through the Electronic Monitoring System, will initially be extended until the corresponding medical treatment is completed.
